Trauma Focused Therapy with a progressive Christian approach

What is progressive Christianity?

Christianity characterized by willingness to question tradition, acceptance of human diversity, with a strong emphasis on social justice, care for the poor and oppressed, and environmental stewardship of the Earth. Progressive Christians have a deep belief in the centrality of the instruction to “love one another” (John 15:17) within the teachings of Jesus Christ. This leads a focus on compassion, promoting justice and mercy, tolerance, and working towards, solving the societal problems of poverty, discrimination, and environmental issues.

A safe space for all who enter

Body positive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, uplifting the BIPOC community, social justice-oriented, Trauma-focused, religious deconstructing, Christ-loving and person-centered values, and welcoming to non-religious and all spiritual communities.

Religious trauma is nothing new to this world. Thankfully, there is now more than ever, greater awareness of the harm of fundamental and rigid religious beliefs and how that can damage the psyche. There are now more spaces for victims of religious trauma to deconstruct their faith and share their story and perspective. However, there still is not nearly enough access to spaces where people can freely processes their experiences, without judgement, and move towards healing and self discovery/ admiration. Beloved, if this resonates with you, you are welcome here. For those who do not want any religious ties or exploration in therapy work, beloved, you are welcome too. This space is for all.
